A vintage set of long handled pierced and solid serving spoons, early 1960s, in the Danish modern pattern, Variation IV, designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Variation IV was introduced in the 1950s and features the clean, minimalist, mid-century lines of Dansk classic, Variation V, but with a diamond style pattern on the handle. Original production in the early years (late 1950s to mid-1960s) was in Germany, Denmark, and Finland before moving overseas to Japan and later other countries.
Quistgaard designed flatware, dinnerware, furniture, and much more for 3+ decades and by the early 1980s had designed over 2,000 household objects for the company.

- Measures approx. 11” long each
Markings:
- Each piece stamped on the back with JHQ + Designs + 4 Ducks Logo + Germany
Condition:
- Definite signs of use
- It is difficult to capture imperfections on stainless steel by photo but please know while in overall good condition, this set is not in a perfect, unused state
- These serving pieces have been used and do show wear
- Solid Spoon – spoon portion with staining + nick on left hand side of spoon bowl area
- Staining/ scratching throughout on both pieces – particularly, on the bowl areas of the spoons -
