AS IS
A vintage pair of Dansk dinner spoons in the pattern, Toke. Designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs in 1958 and made of bamboo and steel. (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Toke was introduced in the late 1950s and production seems to have been limited to a short time frame – likely because bamboo easily splits. Clean, minimalist, mid-century lines and not often seen in the marketplace.
Measurements:
- Each spoon measures approx. 8” long
Markings:
- Both spoons are marked “Dansk Designs Denmark”
- Both markings are very faint and difficult to see except in just the right light
Condition:
- Definite signs of use – NOT in perfect condition
- Bamboo handles (front and back) show multiple splits all over on both spoons
- Solid join
- Staining and scratches present on stainless steel portion of spoons
- These spoons have been used and do show wear -
