AS IS
A vintage pair of Dansk dinner knives in the pattern, Toke. Designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs in 1958 and made of bamboo and steel. (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Toke was introduced in the late 1950s and production seems to have been limited to a short time frame – likely because bamboo easily splits. Clean, minimalist, mid-century lines and not seen often in the marketplace.
Measurements:
- Each knife measures right under 9 ¼ ” long
Markings:
- Both knives are stamped on the back with Dansk Designs Denmark
- Both markings are very faint and not immediately noticeable
Condition:
- Definite signs of use – NOT in perfect condition
- Bamboo handles (front and back) on both knives show multiple splits all over
- Staining and scratches on stainless steel blades
- Solid join
- These knives have been used and do show wear -
