A vintage 2-piece solid serving set in the Dansk pattern, Ingot. Pattern is from the 1960s/ 1970s and was designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Ingot was introduced in the late 1960s and is a clean, modernistic flatware pattern.
I have not been able to determine how long this pattern was in production, but I suspect less than 10 years – late 1960s – early/ mid 1970s. I have not seen this pattern often in the marketplace.
Quistgaard designed flatware, dinnerware, furniture, and much more for 3+ decades and by the early 1980s had designed over 2,000 household objects for the company.
Measurements:
- Each piece is approx. 10” long
Markings:
- Serving Fork – Dansk International Designs, Japan
- Serving Spoon – Dansk + additional text. Script is very faint and difficult to read. You must hold the spoon at an angle in the light to see the markings.
Condition:
- It is difficult to capture imperfections on stainless steel by photo but please know this set is in good, vintage condition but is NOT in a perfect, unused state
- Signs of use and wear are visible on each piece of flatware such as scratches, staining, etc.
- No signs of pitting on any pieces
- These pieces have been used and do show wear
- Overall good condition -
