A vintage salad serving set in the Dansk Fairwind pattern, featuring one solid serving spoon and one serving spork. Pattern is circa 1950s and designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Fairwind was introduced in the 1950s and is the slightly more traditional cousin of Dansk Fjord. The design features clean, mid-century lines with a throwback to a more traditional aesthetic, primarily seen in the shape of the handles. Original production of Dansk flatware in the early years (late 1950s to mid-1960s) was in Germany, Denmark, and Finland before moving overseas to Japan and later other countries.
This pattern appears to have had a short production run and is not often seen.
Measurements:
- Spoon measures approx. 9” long
- Spork measures approx. 9” long
Markings:
- Both pieces are stamped, "Dansk Designs + 4 Ducks logo + Germany"
Condition:
- It is difficult to capture imperfections on stainless steel by photo but please know this set is in good, vintage condition but is not in a perfect, unused state
- Nice, heavier weight feel to both pieces
- These pieces have been used and do show wear
- Signs of wear include: scratches to surface, light staining, etc.
