An original, mid-century, mixed media drawing of a young woman wearing a detailed veil/ headdress. Drawing is signed by artist and dated, 1952. Work is on a single sheet of paper, and is not mounted to any other surface. Overall good condition for work of art on paper.
Mediums used appear to be the following: colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, and pastel.
Dated 1952. Work is unframed.
Signs of age, wear present on paper – please see Condition Report listed below.
Markings:
- Signed, Marian Nieuwenhuizen in lower right hand corner of painting
- Unsure of spelling of artist’s first and last name
- Surname is of Dutch origin

- Original vintage condition with signs of wear present
- Signs of age, wear, to surface of paper (please see photos for detail shots)
- Creases to paper in the lower right hand corner
- Signs of prior tape on the lower left hand corner – has created a roughness to the paper (please see photos for detail shots)
- Image/ drawing in excellent condition
- Image is NOT mounted to any other surface
- Unframed
