A solid cast brass candle holder with glass hurricane insert produced by Dansk and designed by Jens Quistgaard in the 1960s (candle not included). This is a beautiful piece that is a balance between the weightiness of the brass base and the light, delicate glass hurricane insert. Perfect for anyone looking to add some warmth and elegance!
Circa 1960s.
Markings:
- Marked on the inside of the bottom of the base, "DANSK DESIGNS FINLAND IHQ ©".
- Refer to photo #5.
Condition:
- Signs of age and wear are present on the brass, adding to its patina. Refer to photos #6 & 7.
- The glass insert (where it inserts/not the top that would be visible when in use), shows some minor damage as can be seen in photo #10.
Measurements:
- Full Height (with the glass): approx. 11.25"
- Height of Brass Base (w/o the glass): just under 4.5"
- Diameter of the Bottom of the Base: 2.75"
- Diameter of the Top of the Base: 1.5"
- Height of Glass Insert (w/o the brass base): 8.25"
- Candle Insert Diameter: .5" -
