A set of 4 vintage, solid brass candlesticks designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs in the late 1950s/ early 1960s. Each candlestick holds a thin taper candle. (Known as Dansk International Designs beginning in 1974).
Markings:
- Each candlestick marked "Dansk Designs Denmark IHQ" on bottom
- IHQ refers to the designer, Jens Harald Quistgaard with "I" being the Danish pronunciation of "Jens"
Condition:
- Original vintage condition with wear appropriate for age
- In untouched state -- brass has not been polished
- Original patina present on each candlestick
- Darker patination on 1st candlestick from the right
Measurements:
- 3" inches tall
Candle Information:
- Candles pictured are from St. John’s Monastery (another shop here on Etsy!)
- Candle Shown -- #1 style, 5/16” – 3/8” base, 11” long, 1 pound = 30-38 candles, 100% beeswax
- Candles fit snugly – you could possibly go with a slightly smaller base but not by too much -
